FRLHTs Community Health Education and Outreach Group is exhibiting medicinal plants at Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Bangalore in the Independence Day Flower Show. Stall is besides the glass house. The flower show is from 8th to 15th August between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm. Kindly participate in this event and also inform your friends and family members to visit our stall.
 

Animals in Traditional Medicine

Animals have been used in Traditional Medicine dating back to ancient times. Nearly 15-20% of Ayurvedic formulations use animal products. Though the need for medicinal fauna has increased over the years, there is little effort to conserve the fauna and also to document the usage. FRLHT intends to take up a study on this issue. In this context we seek your guidance on the subject.  We would like you to provide us your views as well as your knowledge of the use of animal products in the traditional medicine.

About the foundation

FRLHT is a registered Public Trust and Charitable Society, which started its activities in 1993. The Ministry of Science & Technology recognizes FRLHT as a scientific and research organization. The Ministry of Environment and Forests has designated FRLHT as a National Center of Excellence for medicinal plants and traditional knowledge.
